How do I Qualify?

Open to all Matriculants who wish to pursue a career in Compliance, Risk or IT governance 24-month program Submission of a “Portfolio of Evidence” and ICA multiple choice assessment. POE is a prerequisite for the ICA exam.

Junior Compliance Officers with 1-3 years related experience in Compliance disciplines such as data privacy, cybersecurity, IT governance. Submission of a “Portfolio of Evidence” and ICA multiple choice-assessment. POE is a prerequisite for the ICA exam.

Senior Compliance Officers with 3-5 years related experience in Compliance disciplines such as data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IT governance, compliance project management or RegTech solutions. Recognition of Prior Learning

Compliance Managers or Heads of Compliance with 8-10 years of related experience in Compliance disciplines such as data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IT governance, compliance project management or RegTech solutions. Submission of a dissertation on a topic relating to Compliance Technology
How do I apply?
Step 1: Share a detailed CV with all your Qualifications, Certifications and Experience Listed. Also mention which profssioanal designation you intend to apply for.
Step 2: Based upon your CV we will advise on whether you, in principle, may qualify for the desired professional designation.
Step 3: Based on your information we will supply you with a Recognition of Prior Learning Form which will need to be filled and returned with all supporting documentation:
- Comprehensive CV with added contactable references that can verify your Experience and certs/qualifications. If not all documenting is available a board Exam may apply to verify your legibility.
- Certified ID and all supporting documents (last 3 months from application)
- Motivation in application describing your reason for applying and your intended career path.
- Application fee Proof of payment. (note the fee for part of the full cost)
Step 4: A notification will be sent advising on approval with or without board exam which depends on relevant documentation. (if you don't qualify immediately for the desired designation, one will be advised which is your stepping stone towards a Chartered Level)
Step 5: Full remainder proof of payment will be required for approved designation. Upon which you can complete your board exam ( if required). Your competencies will be logged with SAQA and your Professional certification will be shared once ready. (It can take up to 4-8 weeks)
Step 6: Your certificate is logged with SAQA and send to you. Although your competencies are recognised lifelong, becoming a member of the professional body and completing CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points and submitting proof of those will maintain your healthy professional level and subject you to further competencies being logged with the professional body and SAQA through lifelong RPL's, till you reach a Chartered Status and beyond.
